When i connect the beige wire (connected to o on the control board) to the y on the nest, the fan goes on, but no ac. My workaround for now is to turn on the ac from the hunter thermostat upstairs (zone 2) at the same time, so that both dampers are open and the cool air is distributed in both zones. Kind of a hack, at least it keeps the house cool! The nest thermostat has an overcurrent error.
E109 g2detected. g1wire is also required. Your nest thermostat is physically detecting ag2(fan) wire in they2connector, but it's not detecting a wire in thegconnector. Contacted nest support and ask me to check with local nest pro. I called ed and he response back very quickly and we make an appt the next day at 9pm est. About a week ago the nest popped up with an error of e103 y1 wire has over voltage. The inside fan will run for about 5 seconds, the condenser does nothing, and then the nest gives the error that it can't control this equipment without wiring changes. I have tried many things to remedy it: New control board (no change) E103 is over current / over voltage on the y1 wire. the most common cause of this is a bad contactor in the outdoor unit, when the coil wears down there's more resistance in the low voltage circuit, creating a higher amperage. you could also have a loose connection, or a burned y wire. if the contactor is good, and the wire is good, then the nest would be defective in.
